What makes the Bio-Alternative process different?

The main difference is the proprietary catalyst, which allows for a simplified production process. This process results in a higher net yield of B100 per pound of feedstock. In traditional biodiesel production, one pound of feedstock yields just under a pound of B100. One pound of feedstock put through the BioMobile 5800 yields approximately 1.13 pounds of B100.

What feedstocks can be used in the BioMobile 5800?

The BioMobile 5800 will handle a wide range of feedstocks from 0% to 10% free fatty acid content. Higher free fatty acid feedstocks may require pre-treatment.

Is the BioMobile 5800 technology proven?

Testing on the BioMobile 5800 process began in early 2007. Rigorous testing continues, utilizing various feedstocks and environmental conditions.

Does the biodiesel produced by the BioMobile 5800 meet quality standards?

The quality of the B100 produced by the BioMobile 5800 will depend on the feedstocks used.

What is in the glycerin by-product?

The enriched glycerin by-product contains phosphorous and some alcohols. It can be further refined as desired just as from traditional biodiesel processing.

Where can the catalyst be purchased?

Contact your Bio-Alternative representative, who will find the most economical source of catalyst for your location and storage situation.

What maintenance is required? Are there parts that can wear out?
